Player Profile [Craig Smith]

The other rookie that made a profound difference in our teams play this year was Craig Smith. A thick forward who enjoys banging down low, this 6'7, 272 lb big man got a lot of crucial boards and put-backs this season.
If you enjoy watching a post player work hard for position and fight for rebounds Craig is the guy to watch. I am looking for a promising future that won't necessarily stand out, but be a valuable asset to any team in need of a work horse.
This year' stats can be found here.

Player Profile [Justin Reed]

Another player that did not see a lot of playing time this season, but is a great asset to have on the team. Justin Reed has been in the league for 2 seasons and went to the funnest college to spell, Mississippi.
He stands at 6'9" and weighs 238. Check out his season's stats here.

Player Profile [Rashad McCants]

With one year under his belt, Rashad McCants entered his second season with a knee injury that benched for the bulk of the year. With high hopes for his future, this 6'4" gaurd can jump out of the gym and seems to be a crowd pleaser. Check out his stats.
He came from North Carolina with some great college years and is hoping to make a difference in this struggling Timberwolves franchise.

Player Profile [Mark Madsen]

Playing as both a center and forward, Mark "Mad Dog" Madsen is the team spirit. He won't have the best numbers on the year (his stats are available here) but he will be the one on the sideline waving a towel and screaming, "LET'S GO!!!"
He is a strong presence in the lane snatching great rebounds and outleting the ball, but the day Mad Dog hits a jumper is the day I quit being a Timberwolves fan (which probably will never happen.)

Player Profile [Marko Jaric]

Marko Marko Marko. A 6'7" forward from Serbia has served as a nice asset to the team. Without anything extravagent, Marko seemed to get a lot of steals and be in constant hussel for the loose ball. He put up solid stats for the year, but is also in question for whether we will see him next year or not. He has been in the league for 4 years and has gained some experience as an all-around player (good at most parts of the game, but not GREAT at just one thing).

Player Profile [Mike James]

Mike James was our dominate starting point gaurd for the year. Standing at 6'2" and weighing 180 lbs, his quickness and ball handling were strong reasons for his starting position.
With a few rocky moments late in the season that caused a change in the line-up Mike stayed fairly consistent throughout the season. Check out his stats HERE. He's been in the pros for 5 years and went to college at Duquesne.

Player Profile [Troy Hudson]

A player who didn't get to see a whole lot of time this season, but still a valuable part of the team is Troy Hudson. He has the experience of 9 years in the league and came from Southern Illinios. His 6'1", 178 lb frame makes him a small gaurd with great quickness and a stellar 3 ball. His stats on the season can be found here.

Player Profile [Trenton Hassell]

Trenton Hassell can officially be labeled our lock-him-down defensive specialist. He has been in the league for 5 years and serves as a solid forward in our starting line-up. Feel free to check out his stats on the year by clicking here.

Player Profile [Kevin Garnett]

His stats speak for themself. Kevin Garnett is the reason we have a team in Minnesota... Well, maybe not, but he is the reason anyone chooses to attend the games. That statement is true.
The MVP of the league in the 03-04 season, Kevin is a 6'11" power forward straight out of Farragut Academy High School in Illinios. He's been in the leage for 11 years and is ready for a championship ring. Will he stay with the Timberwolves to get it, or find an alternate route through a trade option this offseason? We'll all have to wait and see...

Player Profile [Randy Foye]

Sporting number 4, this T-Wolves player is a rookie we are anxious to see develop.
He has had a great rookie season and has shown it through his stats (check them out HERE).
Randy came from Villanova and has experienced a new style of play since entering the league for the first time. His 6'4", 212 lb frame has made him a tough point gaurd for the T-Wolves all year both as a starter and off the bench.

Player Profile [Ricky Davis]

Today we look at Ricky Davis. A strong gaurd we acquired through a trade with the Boston Celtics, this is Ricky's second year with the Timberwolves and has proven to be a threat both outside the 3-point line and slashing in the lane. His stats on the season can be found HERE. He has been in the league for 8 years and will hopefully be around for awhile to get this team to a winning record next season.

Player Profile [Mark Blount]

The next section of the Blog will be dedicated to getting to know each player. We start with Mark Blount, the Timberwolves 7 ft, 250 lb starting Center. This years stats be be found HERE.
Mark Blount came from Pittsburg and has been in the league for over 6 years, a big man that can shoot the jumper.
